03 Oct Bike Safety Workshop

We also do a workshop on bike safety.  If you would be interested in this being taught at your school, please contact us and we would be happy to make arrangements.

Workshop based around safety and bike riding. Kids read the story of The Terrible Red Racer (we do it abridged for younger audiences) and see how the dad has no safety gear (that was the 80s).

We then discuss appropriate safety items to wear nowadays and have the kids label these.  On the basis that the kids are not at the stage of riding necessarily, we simply have words or pictures of the elements that they can then tape/stick on to the appropriate places of the main character on a bike.
